Labor Relations UpdatesThe AGC of California Labor Relations team has been fielding increased calls from UCC members looking for additional information on the FFCRA. In response to inquiries about the reimbursement mechanism with the FFCRA, new Southern California Labor Contracts and Regulatory Manager Roger Uy created FFCRA Tax Credit Guidelines. The guidelines explain how a company can seek reimbursement from the IRS on its quarterly tax withholdings as well as an explanation of IRS Form 7200 in the event more leave benefits are requested than available in the withholdings. For a refresher on the FFCRA, please be sure to review our overview of the FFCRA from the Legal Advisory Committee and a Union Contractor specific analysis from the UCC. Statewide/Regional Government Affairs Updates Advocating for Investments in Infrastructure – You Can Help AGC is working with the national Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) for substantive investment in transportation, water, broadband, and energy infrastructure in the next COVID relief bill to keep projects moving and build the foundation for our economy’s recovery. In both virtual meetings with congressional policy leaders and a multimedia grassroots campaign, we are sending the message and maintaining the pressure.
